The safety of the produce we supply, and the training we provide to our associates is superior in our
industry. We believe that our customers deserve to have the highest level of trust in our products. At
A&Z, we know our associates are integral to this process. Continuous training is provided to our team
including product handling, proper storage, personal hygiene, and vehicle sanitation as well as other
important food safety issues. A&Z utilizes a food safety committee made up of our own Director of Food
Safety and Quality Assurance Team to discuss, incorporate ideas, train, and continuously improve our
stringent food safety program. We seek to continue our professional knowledge by staying informed on
current food safety issues, monitoring food safety updates, attending food safety seminars and working
directly with retail and government partners. On site A&Z utilizes a Certified Food Safety Professional,
and HACCP Certified employees.
To ensure Cold Chain Management, A&Z utilizes 27 independent climate controlled coolers. This
means that every product is stored in the temperature specific to that products individual need. Humidity
levels and ethylene level requirements are also taken into consideration. Products are delivered to our
customers in our pre-cooled state-of-the-art refrigerated trucks to ensure proper temperatures prior to
loading, and during delivery. Security is also a priority and maintained by our locked trucks and secured
warehouse. All of our employees are screened and comply with drug and background tests.
